Cluster is easily one of my top 3 images from Geddes, waked up at 445am this morning and tried to have my chance at it. I knew it's HARD but din expect it to be this HARD lol! The site jam starts from 445am all the way till 520am local time and I dun even have a chance to see the purchase button ha! Out of all the local Jemmies who tried, only 1 out of 5 managed to score 1. Though slightly disappointing (I'm used to missing ultra competitive drops over the years of collecting :D), I'm really stoked to see Gedde's work getting more recognition and love amongst global art lovers. He deserves every bit of it :D!

My decluttering exercise is finally near the end stages but some more dribs and drabs to go heh. Must say this is such a liberating exercise ha, I periodically streamline and focus my collection once every 2-3 years. I love how this collab turns out, probably one of my favorite RxH releases. I'm not a big fan of the Boss Carrion but in this case, with the boss carrion body paired with a chaos head, this sculpt works perfectly fine! Scored the Ribena head with red scarf version on blue green stomach. The début release of the amazing Chaos Carrion! A keeper for sure!!

My favorite JEA interpretation of the whole lot. The only JEA colourway I'm keeping. Battle weathered JEA colourway works really well with the overall design of Armstrong with its big ass machine gun. Where's NW and DW AS you might ask :P? Keen followers of my recent culling activities must have realized that they are out as part of my streamlining exercise ha. I feel that completism kills any hobbies in the long run as it forces you to chase after stuff you might not really like/love/appreciate heh. Sometimes, it might get really stressful and stifling. I like the toys I love to breathe (not cooped up in bags or boxes!) and I work towards the goal that every toy that I lay my eyes on within my extensive display are toys that I truly truly can't do without. Space is limited (so in monies.....:P), collectors should focus their resources on what they truly love!

I love toys but I seldom collect customs like many of the hardcore collectors out there. For some reason I ONLY collect customs done by good friends of mine who are fellow hardcore toy lovers heh. I tend to feel that their love for the hobby shines through the final product itself. Flo san (a uber talented lass!) who has been only customizing for less than a year has knocked the socks off for this Debris Japan custom of mine. The concept of a "Ice Demon" works damn well for this custom. Paint app is top notch, colour combi is well thought off, layering effects is superb and not the mention her trademark decaling (for the ice crystal patterns) and the little details (the snowman tattoo!) and surprises (under the loincloth...cough...cough...LOL!) that makes this custom to die for!!

Old skool Jap toys collectors definitely know the hassle of buying toys from Japan. Most of them dun ship overseas and we collectors have to turn to "middlemen/agent" services previously like Celga and FromJapan to bid/order and tranship items to Singapore.

If ya already using "middlemen/agent" services, why not try out the excellent service of a local setup Redmonstertoys, run by 3 nice young local chaps, they provide good, dependable service at reasonable fees with tip top communication! I have used their services quite a bit and is very satisfied (You chaps know I dun do paid advertisements and I only pimp GOOD stuff!!)

Sadly, I think their services is only available for Local Sing chaps (feel free to email them and ask though) currently.

I love 3A/Ashley Wood's stuff and I love Gundam, so this is one kick ass release for me. At 330usd (280.5usd 3AA) shipped worldwide, this is likely to be the priciest regular release todate (licensing to Bandai, shipping etc) but well worth the price IMO. Anraku Ansaku (AA is the technical lingo for Kaiju insiders :P) is legendary in the field of kaiju. Product releases are only sold exclusively via a privileged email list, making even regular releases extremely elusive and hard to hunt down for the overwhelming secondary mkt demand simply outstrips the supply. For the kaiju grunt like me, hunting for one is like taking down a heavily fortified hill ha! Rarity and exclusivity aside, AA really makes kick ass kaiju that makes fans fall head over heels with. What I mean is stripping the idea of its value aside, AA's toy design I think will stand the test of time.

By sheer toy karma, managed to score this awesome chunk of vinyl. The pics really dun show how awesome this sculpt is, the bumps on the body, the feel on the hands, the translucent milky white colourway, the cute funny expression, everything adds up to a unconventional toy design that somehow will draw out the inner child in you :). Enjoy (and pardon the lousy pics :P)!!

Not that I'm biased but 3A customer service simply ROX!! I've been collecting for around 10 years and trust me none of the toy companies' CS can be compared to 3A, be it HT, medicom, Takara, Bandai, etc etc (they or the retail shop u buy the item from will basically ask you to F off I believe lol). The OG TKs are released nearly 2+ years back and when 2 of the TK heads turned greenish (which is due to the type of plastic they used and a problem they acknowledged), I emailed 3A CS and got a replacement hassle free. Keep up the excellent job 3A!

MVH (Mutant Vinyl Hardcore) aka Lash is an Indie vinyl/toy maker out there that all you toy lovers should check out. This guy is a genius and keep pumping out awesome sculpts in wondrous colourways!! Check him out HERE!

Ollie should be MVH's classic representative sculpt so far, this chap is huge (>12" me thinks)! The design just appeals to monster lovers out there (like me!) and the hand painted job in the hands of lash is just breathtaking. I just love artistic hand-painted stuff like this! MORE!!

I mean this really SUX big time!! I've been collecting for 10 years now and I have really seen the quality of local toy shops going straight down the gutters over the years. This year one of the low cost toy store took clients' deposits and subsequently went bankrupt leaving customers in the lurch; One of the largest local toy stores around is notorious for selling dubious goods of dubious quality from dubious sources; AND NOW....Kaws AAA fakes leaks to the local mkt at pricey secondary MKT prices via reputable (once reputable for me :P) retail stores!! See above, which is the real deal and which is the doppelganger? Focus on the crosses on the eyes and ya see the diff and from what I heard the boxes and packaging looks like the real deal but of a subpar quality too... Selling bootlegs is gray (there are active bootleg markets out there and some vintage bootlegs are worth than the real deal ha!) but selling them as the real deal (at real deal prices) is just wrong. For local collectors, if any new Kaws stuff seem too easy to score and too cheap, just BEWARE. You spend the monies, you make the choice, I'll just stick to online purchases directly from the source from now on.

Hmmm I actually have the traditional box and fig shots taken a while back but my wife accidentally deleted the photos when she downloaded the baby's photos and it too much hassle to do it again ha so we'll make do with the quick and dirty display case shots this round heh :P.

I'm not a big fan of the JEA colourway but DC is my preferred JEA representation over the MK3 bert or the HB heh. JEA DC looks pretty solid! QC is good and the paint app top notch and as per the classic DC design/engineering, it is a breeze to pose and play with. Enjoy :)!

Well time flies! As per past years, my yearly updated display pic heh. Ever since Simon san kindly gifted me with some cool 3 headed monster dragon kaiju some time back, I just naturally developed a perverse liking for multi headed beasts! Zollmen, a Hokkaido based kaiju company, makes one of the best out in the market, the classic Badzilla!! Not even trying to complete Badzillas as it will sink a deep hole in my shallow wallet heh so just aimed for the version I liked best, the Mandarake exclusive. Deep oranges on blue hues with a lime green stomach, just awesomeeeeee!

These chaps are so awesomely fun and cool! Had a great time just playing with them and fooling round ha. Comes in different headsculpts, body scuplts and arms! The different combis of mixes and matches will make sure your monster is more or less unique :D! If there is a toy of the year award for 2011, my choice would be undoubtedly Wasabi. This is the most value for money release this year and it really knock the socks off my expectations (and I have pretty high standards for TKS!). For less than 90 bucks sgd (PO price), you can a high quality 12" fig with a tattooed body and arms, new awesome tee, extra bazooka as weapon (other than the standard sword) and 2 pair of hands!! The price is much lower than previous TK releases but the amount of "extras" is way above expectations. The fig itself is on par if not better than the OG Tks of which the mold is based on (though old TKs have that memory/nostalgic value to me heh). If all releases can be like this!!! SUPERB!!

Sometimes 3A amazes me for the level of details and articulation that they can achieve for such a small scale (Individually jointed fingers! Damn!). Hmmmmm I'm liking these chaps, like the yama and naga of de plumes, solid QC fig. Some might not like it for weathering etc etc, but im loving it! The extra gun and the leg holster is a cool add in and the dirty white tee is just done nicely. These are figs that will settle very nicely into my permanent collection :D. For this print we’ve decided to do a timed release. This means you can purchase the print at any time during the 12 hour window and the number of prints sold in this time will be the edition size. Once the 12 hours is up the print is no longer available.

Warmer Air will be available on Monday 10th October from 7am to 7pm Melbourne, Australia time (approximately).

Please check your time zone.

As a guide, the start time is Sunday 9 ^th October 4pm in New York, Sunday 1pm in San Francisco and Sunday 9pm in London, going into the morning of Monday 10^th October.

Just plain awesomeness, the 2011 member pack alone is worth the subscription price and more! Regretted not getting a couple more so I can score my dear APTK Yama heh. Total of 7 versions available: Naga, Yama, Ono (camo), Showa, Negro Oya, Blanco Oya and Blanco Oya Camo..Camo Blanco is the rarest (1 to 2 in 100 it seems), followed by Ono (1 in 20??) and Negro, Blanco and Showa (1 in 8??). Naga and Yama which are my absolute favs shows up in around 50-60% of the packages ;). ..Collect them all!

P.s: The odds are just a rough reference only using poll data from 3A forums, might not be the actual stats! Users beware ;) :P!!

For all the pristine MISB box collectors out there, I have a sad news to tell you. If the toy u own has internal compartments with batteries inside, I would not buy your toy if its MISB for longer than 2 years. The SAD Fact is that even with that little plastic tab on, the batteries will still leak and rust and corrode your pristine toy from within. I removed all my batteries from my recent hot toys purchases, some less than 6 months and there is already rusting inside (and yeah, even with the little plastic tab inserted), the same happens for my other toy buddies who did the same thing. If 6 months can already cause rusting, I can say 2 years will very likely cause leaking and corrosion. So I guess its either free them and play or just sell them before the leak occurs heh ;).
